Barloworld Volkswagen Moorabbin is an established car sales dealership with a fantastic reputation as a trusted location for buying new and used vehicles. We have a vacancy for a New Car Manager to join our busy and dynamic team.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Customer Satisfaction
- Establish and maintain a Consumer Relations Policy that strives for complete customer satisfaction. Maintain a customer record and follow up system and ensure the resolution of all customer complaints.
- Set clear standards for customer treatment.
- Establish, manage and control a sales system that recognises and enforces concepts leading to customer loyalty and referrals.
- Build, train and maintain a sales organisation that is aware of customer needs.
Profitability and Sales
- Check, inspect and authorise all deals and orders, ensuring gross profit objectives are attained.
- Establish long and short term sales and gross profit objectives for both the department and individual sales personnel.
- Assist personnel in achieving individual sales and gross profit objectives.
- Establish, maintain and supervise a sales system that includes effective: prospecting; demonstration; customer handling; closing and delivery programs.
- Assist personnel in increasing Finance and Insurance penetration.
- Liaise closely with Financial Controller/Accountant to optimise financial opportunities for the department.
- Manage department expenses to maximise profitability and review expenses regularly to ensure resources are being used and efficiently and effectively.
Marketing and Advertising
- Obtain market information that outlines sales opportunities in all segments. Provide this information to sales personnel as necessary.
- Plan new vehicle merchandising, advertising, publicity campaigns and other promotional activities for both the short and long term.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Five years experience in a New Vehicle sales role with a proven record of success.
- Thorough knowledge of stock control.
- One year in junior management in New Vehicle sales (eg. New Vehicle Sales Manager).
- Strong leadership qualities with good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent customer sales and service skills.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Adequate administration skills.
- Current driver’s licence.
